Sorry for the blatant commercialism but a lot of people are asking. The following is my "intended" future group buys.
Currently I am working on the Serbu .50 Group Buy for which I am done taking orders for. I am hoping this one will be delivered by the end of February. My next Group Buy will be a second Cav 15 Group Buy. I will meet Shawn at the Shot Show and get into a few details with him taht will affect this one. Cav Arms is debuting new receivers and a few other upgrades. It is my hope that the new configuration will be available for the Group Buy that I am hoping to do in March. My next anticipated Group Buy will be a second Serbu .50 Group Buy since so many people missed out. I will leave that one open for an entire month (guessing around April) so people can get tehir money put tohgetehr for such a large purchase. After that I don't have a clue what I want to do next. I might add a poll to see what you guys want. Keep the following in mind. I don't wanna do ANYTHING that would conflict with a AR15.com sponsored Group Purchase. If the next AR15.com rifle is a AK variant I will not offer a AK Group Buy in the same time period. Some guns such as DSA FALs, AK variants etc. have little room between dealer cost and retail cost for significant savings. Also many manufactures do not offer quantity pricing to dealers. These factors make a Group Buy deal impossible. Any questions, comments or recommendations are appreciated. |

Armalite AR-50 would be sweet. Maybe anywhere from $2000 - $2100.
That would be sweet. Ed |

Are the US made Galil receivers worth anything? I've been eyeing up the FAC kits [:D]
|
|
Damn Steyr! You're gonna cause me a divorce!
Seriously though I plan on getting in on the next Serbu deal and would be interested in the Cav Arms deal as well, but other than that I like the AR50 idea, esp if it ends up in the $2100 range. Might have a buddy of mine that would want to get in on the cavarms one as well. Thanks for doing these for us. In case you don't hear it enough, we DO appreciate the work you put into it on our behalf. Jeff |

Anyone ever have interest in a group Remington 700 purchase? Maybe a VS or PSS with a few options/upgrades? Just throwing it out ... especially since that will be my next purchase if I ever get a fukin job.

Just as soon as you explain how I get them at below dealer cost I'll get right on it. Clearly the AR50 Group Buy is going to be unrealistic to do. View Quote I was throwing out a number that would make sense on a group buy price -- about 20% off. $2699 retail available with most who sell them. 20% = $539.80. $2699-539.80 = $2159.20. Therefore, my $2000-$2100 ranging. If dealer cost is much more than that, then it would appear the margins aren't very conducive to a group buy on an AR50 either. Ed |
|
Ed, the margins aren't very condusive.
10% difference between retail and dealer is far too common. Add to that the fact that most people are buying AT dealer price to begin with when they do transfer deals. |

A Kimber .45
or a nice revolver or a 10mm upper or a Ruger 10/22 deluxe. I know they're cheap already, but if we got a bunch of people to buy them, we could probably get them even cheaper... |
|
Being in the PRK severely limits my choices. I'd like to see an M1A. A Remington 700 would be perfect (since I'm shopping for one anyway).

[:D] I regret selling my 700VSSF so I'd be up for a group buy on a 700VS when the checks start rolling in again. Don't like the PSS palm swell. |
|
How about we finish the DPMS 308 group buy? Broker it for us for a better deal.
|
|
National Match M1A
I originally voted AR50, but would like an M1A more. Ed |
|
I want an Armalite AR-10B in the worst way.
Mmmmmm..... 7.62.... |
|
I would normally be interested in doing something with the M1A. But with the current trend of SA M1As falling apart after 2 mags and using cast parts I want nothing to do with them.
Not widly crazy about DPMS either. I don't mind a DPMS upper on a Cav 15 but I wouldn't want to do complete guns, especially in .308. |
|
AR10! Maybe an Eagle Arms AR-10? Wouldn't that get down into the price of a regular AR-15?
|
|
i always wanted a galil.... but the AK sounds good too. i dont have an ak yet. it would be a nice complement to my AR east meets west. -Spaceman p.s. Galils are cool |

I'm with ComputerGuy, everyone needs a tricked out 1911. Kimber is the choice!
|
|
FYI, in light of Barretts recent letter.
I am gonna try and broker a Barrett .50 deal if I can. I just don't want to run any group buys simultaniously if I can help it. |

AR-10, Just to make it a trio of Semi .308's with the HK-91 and the M1A.
and then an AR-50 the "Biggest Black Rifle" to make it a trio of AR's (10,15 and 50)[Bounce] Maybe Armalite will do a better deal based on a two Armalite group buys or a least- Free Toasters.[:D] JerrY |

The group buy that I would like to see is an Ammo group buy. Maybe by the case. Black Hills 68gr BTHP, or IMI 62gr green tip. I am sure enough people will participate in that to ensure that prices will be incredibly reasonable. (btw, dont do this group buy until April or May. I will have some spare cash flow by then [:D])

View Quote That is something I'd DEFINITELY love to get in on. It'd probably be impossible to do as a group buy, since it's not exactly a 'product', but I'd love to see a group buy on an SPR clone... |

I'll look into the possibility of a Kimber Buy.
But it probably won't work for the following reasons: Second Day Air shipping requirements, to me and then from me to the end user average a total of about $70-75 per gun. Kimber is a large enough company they would probably be disinterested in providing me any kind of "bulk discount" on orders of about 10. Kimbers tend to be expensive and as most dealers sell them with very little markup. The result is most customers have a expectation of buying them around dealer price to begin with. All these factors combined make a Kimber Group Buy unlikely and in the end not very cost effective for me or anyone involved in the Group Buy. So much as I'd love to try, all it would take is one jackleg to come along and say "I can get them at "so and so gunshop for X amount of dollars" and then I look like I'm trying to scam people. So even though it might be a great deal for those who live in "high price" areas, those who live in "dealer price + $5.00" areas feel like I'm trying to take advantage of someone. The result is, I don't bother with it. |

Kimber... but it's gotta wait until end of September

They look great just not worth $1150 maybe u can get a good price , maybe $900-1000 |

What about the HK91 clone (the PTR-91)? I got a response to an email from JLD Enterprises saying it's being sold through Lew Horton, RSR, Interstate and CDNN. We want that! [:P]

CDNN effectively killed the market. Or at least my ability to sell them at any price. They never even had them, BUT they priced them at "Closeout Prices" in their catalog which were WAY BELOW dealer price. As a result there is a unrealistic "buy price" expectation. There is also the possiblity that CDNN won't even get them. CDNN has pulled this crap before and as a result I no longer do business with CDNN. |
