Sure not all of us can afford snap on and such. For the DIYer this is a terrific deal!
Slick deals link

I've bought a few of the Kobalt sets they have up front and they seem to be high quality
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 3:56:54 AM EST
Kobalts are awesome tools, it's all I buy any more.

... in store or online - or both?
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 4:02:26 AM EST
the wrenches seem to be a really good deal, normally a set of 5 or 6 will run you $20-30

Buy online pick up at store. Leaving to go there now, I'll take a picture of my haul.
I'd put kobalt on par with NEW craftsman stuff, not old.

I ordered online for pickup today. Great find OP. I completed order #1 and #2 at the link. #3 seemed like overkill for me since I have a set of tools aready and am a bit of a flashlight snob. I've been looking for a set to keep in the house garage, and these fit the bill. The wrenches will go out in the shop.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 4:37:27 AM EST
Got the last one in my store. Thanks a lot, OP.

Nothing too special. Junk add-ons that won't likely be used. Getting a 3 pack of razors or a flashlight with your purchase? meh... or purchasing a 237846216789 piece tool kit for $99 with 17 tools that don't cost $.03... meh.

I'd pop a tent if they put all sockets and wrenches 50% off.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 4:45:42 AM EST
well, there goes a couple hundred dollars.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 4:54:19 AM EST
Grabbed some of the sockets.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 4:55:23 AM EST
Here's my haul. Not bad for $200. 90% will be used for Xmas exchange gifts.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 6:03:15 AM EST
I just ordered the whole haul. Thanks!

Now if only they'd do that with table saws and such...

I like my Kobalt tools. Too bad I bought about $500 worth a month ago - when they weren't on sale.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 6:16:56 AM EST
Price match them!
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 6:21:23 AM EST
Cool, thanks for the heads up OP.
Link Posted: 6/12/2014 6:23:54 AM EST
I've got multiples of all those tools already

Otherwise I'd be in

If you have a chase card right now and shop through their online store you should be getting 10% back as well - 5% lowes quarterly promo and 5% additional through the online store link.

Don't forget eBates, if you're a member.

I forgot for my first two orders.

Got a set. Dad needs some tools and I need a few as well. Good timing and thanks!

Any Chase rewards card with the quarterly promotions you sign up for - this month is restaurants and lowes.

Damn it! Great find OP!

But I just bought 40 of those aluminum mags that popped up on sale that another member pointed out...

My bank account needs a break

I tried checking out under my Lowes account and the system wouldn't process the order. I was successful checking out as a guest. Carefully review your order and delete the duplicate charged BOGO items. The system seems to process BOGO's of equal or lesser value.

Both, I'm having them shipped to my house...for free.

ETA: If you don't already have a set of gearwrenches, NAPA has them on sale again for Father's day this year:

Thanks for the head's up!

Kobalt seems to have pretty decent stuff. For those of us who don't work with our tools every day of the week or don't use them to make money, they are perfect. They are "good enough" and come with a lifetime replacement guarantee.

Lowes sells the 227-piece toolset that is a whole bunch of sockets, drivers, hex keys, a few wrenches, and several other miscellaneous tools (admittedly there's a decent bit of fluff tools in there as well. "What is this? A wrench for ants?") The box itself is pretty nice. Normal price is $200. It usually goes on sale around Father's Day, Christmas, Black Friday for $100. Apparently they accept 20% off coupons from Harbor Freight to bring the total price down to $80. For all those tools that's a damn good deal. I bought my set about a year and a half ago and it has been invaluable. I am planning on buying a set for each one of my kids to give them when they get older.

Not bad for $104 otd. Thanks for the heads up. The sockets are Taiwan. I got two of the metric toolkits so I could get two free plier sets.

No.

Some of the multitools are cheesy, but you can always give them to people you don't like.

Do they still offer the 10% mil discount on top of the sale price?
