As long as the transfer was done via an FFL, what the problem?

The problem is that the lib-tards already are afraid of gun shows and online gun sales.  It gives them someone else to point the blame at.
CA is trying to ban ammo sales online.

Along with making background checks mandatory for all counter sales of ammo.

You know, here we have the PERFECT case for gun control not working.  We have the 1 gun a month law, the required safety test/certification/handling demonstration for purchasing handguns, 99 AW Ban, No Hi-Caps, handguns must meet CA "safety" standards or they cannot be sold, Near impossible to get CCW, .50BMG ban....

Most enacted SINCE 1999 and yet now one of the reasons they are giving for the ammo law is that according to CA DOJ, gun crime has increased 34% since 1999!

Yeah, all this legislation sold as "necessary to combat gun violence" is working out just fine!

YOU see a case of gun control not working.  THEY see a case of not enough gun control.

Put in its simplest terms.

With the media on their side, i can say with ease that there will be more gun control in our future.
