A few years ago I gave my Grandparents a computer and internet access.
They live in Rural Maine and the winters are long and cold. They both spend
alot of time inside during winter and it passes the time.  I recently gave them
a digital camera (3 months ago). They finally figured it out!
Here is the first and only picture they have sent me so far.
Pretty good pic for non-computer savy Grandparents!
btw, the pic is taken overlooking thier back pasture. Nice view huh?

Turkeys! Those small tree's are apple, you can see the fallen
apples if you look closely. The horses shake the tree's to make them fall.
The turkey population has exploded over the past 5 years. Anyone think they
could pick a few heads off with a .22 LR? (its been done already!

Wow that is an amazing view. do the horses belong to them as well. I tend to wonder with gas prices getting up more and more and all the DUI(s) if it would make more sense to simply return to getting everywhere on horseback. I would love to saddle up with a six on my side and a winchester
strapped to a horse cowboy style

Yes, they own the horses. They have quite a barnful of critters, mostly retrievers and pointing dogs.
The horses are Grandma's, she doesn't ride much anymore but they give her somthing to take care of.

Good for you and your grandma.

I wish my dad would take the time to learn how to operate a cellular phone. He is just sooo intimidated by these new techie gadgets!

No, its my Grandparents farm in Central Maine. I gave them a digicam and they finally figured it out. They are pretty old fashioned so connecting it to the PC and getting the attachments straight is quite an accomplishment for them. I'm quite proud. Heck, USB might as well be UFO to them!

Don't think that you won't be charged for riding a horse while intoxicated
Nice pics!
