I'm currently attending a University.

I was initially pursuing a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. I recently decided I don't want to go that route. I prefer chemistry over math by a large margin.

I have decided to bust my ass for the next year or so and apply to different pharm.D programs.

I'm just wondering if it would matter if I decided to switch to a community college for the rest of my pre requisites. Community College is significantly less expensive. Does anyone know if taking classes at a community college would affect my chances of getting into pharmacy school? I'd like to save the money... But I'll stay at my current school if it's beneficial. The community college I'm looking into offers the classes I need, excluding biochem.

Don't they have admissions counselors at the pharm schools you could speak to?

That would be my suggestion. When I was in school they had a lady just for my program who answered all that stuff and if she didn't know she got on the phone to the other university where you might be applying for graduate school and found out for you. She was also the person who came up to you one day and said "Guess what I got you a nice paying summer intersnhip that you didn't even know you applied for".
