I have some older military surplus parts that have #'s on them (not NSN #'s) and am wondering what they mean.

Example:  FM 23-9  and GTA 208

Any Ideas?

FM would be Field Manual, GTA is Graphic Training Aid.  I would guess references for use and maintenance.

FM 23-9 is the M-16A1 & A2 rifle marksmanship manual. I cannot find the GTA.
