I went to bed last night about 11:00 as usual and, as usual, signed on to surf the web.  All the lights were out except for the blue glow from the screen of my laptop.

Well, I heard a noise like the sound of a door opening.  I grabbed my P.J. bottoms and my XD45 and went to investigate.  I went down the hall with a q-beam spotlight and, lo-and-behold, in the bright, piercing 1million candle-power light was a hulking man with a ski mask on.  He had a big pile of money in his arms that I had left out on my dining room table.

I told him to drop my money and to get on the floor.  He just looked at me from behind the mask.  I aimed the XD45 at him (we were about 20 feet apart) and about that time he lunged at me with a steak knife he got from the kitchen drawer.  I squeezed off a double-tap right into his chest.  He went down like a limp rag doll.  I followed up with 2 more while he was on the floor to make sure he was out of the fight.

Feeling secure that the perp was no longer a threat, I went back to my bedroom to call 911.  My wife was already in her room with my sawed-off 12 gage shotgun.  I called 911 and explained the situation.  When the police arrived I let them in and we went to the spot where I put the burglar down--only he wasn't there !!!   The only sign that something happened was money all over the floor and 2 bullet holes in the wall and 2 in the floor.

They put out an APB on the suspect.  I learned that a guy named Michael Meyers was robbing houses and stealing stuff in our neighborhood's vicinity and it was probably him since the M.O. was the same.  I was told to listen for suspicious sounds like "cha, cha, cha... die, die, die" and if I hear them, to get out of the house ASAP.

Well, I went back to bed and posted some stuff on boards I frequent.  I felt secure in knowing my trusty XD45 was by my side and was reliable even though it was only 4 shots out of a brand-new pistol.

My encounter with this guy is entirely true and I'm ready if he comes around again.

Wow, I'm glad to see that you're alright. Did you experience temporary hearing loss? Did you actually hit him, or were they misses?

Took a full power shot from a 45 and got up?    has to be a 9mm.

Even Michael Myers could not take a full power shot from a 45.  That would be like staring down Chuck Norris.

Although I haven't run several boxes of ammo through it yet, I like it pretty well.  Just last night I posted a thread on the pistol.  See XD45 review.

I think you would like it.  14 rounds of .45 ACP with a light-weight, well-built pistol.

Yeh, he reminds me of Sarge, except Sarge was funny and most of his stories were amusing.  Why the fuck is there threads like this?  Does this contribute to the forum in any manner?  Your stories are juvenile and unreadable, unexciting and most of all we know you make up everything 100%.  So why do you waste time writing these things Lawdog?  Do you not get enough attention from others in your real life that you have to come here and waste bandwith?

Seriously lawdog, your fake money is stupid, this story was borderline retarded.  Can you explain to us why you do things like this?  There are plenty of threads about "reality" that you can post on without wasting space and time.

On more important notes, what happened to Hielo?

I haven't been around that long, but I figured out pretty quick, if lawdog makes a post, it seems to be BS. Can anyone other than lawdog give a report on the XD45? I like the higher capacity 45, I have a 1911, and like it, but the reduced capacity, is what keeps it from being my main carry gun. Any non whacko report would be appreciated.
