Just got it home, 1.3 miles on the readout....

This should be fun on the backroad commute to work and back!

Very nice. It should be a lot of fun.

In before KirkP insults your bike and tells you you're going to die on it.

Yeah I test crashed a SV650... It was ok I guess...

Need to get registration, racks, and some seat time before getting crazy with it, I am taking it camping in a few days so I will have a few days of learning in the dirt before I eat pavment!

Sweet bike man, my brother had one of those about 4 years ago and it was a blast to ride around on.

I've got an XR400 I made street legal, and it is a blast to drive around and I still get about 60 mpg if I'm steady on the throttle.

I imagine you'll get 75 mpg on that little hog

Have fun and be safe on it!

Congrats and enjoy your new ride.

They sure are excellent when it comes to mileage. If you find the bike hard to start check the XT225 forum for tips.

Smaller displacement motorcycles are a lot of fun. The light weight of the bike (and the grab handles can really come in handy when you hang the bike up in some tangles when trail riding.

Please don't neglect to wear gear- with these hop on and ride bikes can be seductively easy to say: "But it is just around the corner..."

You will probably laugh the first time you fill the bike up and look at your receipt.

Very cool. I looked at them at the dealership. It was nice to see they upt the CCs from the 225s. hopefully there is a following in the aftermarket. There almost nothing for the XT225 and the DR200.

had an XT-350 years back. I have ridden and owned ALL kinds of bike, but that XT was my favorite.

Ive been considering one - I do about 70off/30on. We have 400 acres about 6 miles from my house - its just easier to ride up and back.

Been waffling between a DRZ400 or WR250, XT250 or CRF230L.

Found an '08 for @ $3800 - sounds like I should pull the trigger
