You mean for pulling into the space tail first???

Is this where the exhaust would face the building...and do you drive one of those vehicles that vibrate all the windows???

Hmmm...nitpicking....you are going to be fired soon....!

Yea they even gave me a fake ticket thing, left it on the windshield.   I threw it in the trunk to soak up old transmission fluid.

No it used to be a Walmart, so its a big ass parking lot.  Instead of pulling into the space I pull through so I dont have to back out I just put it in drive and leave.  Im a decent walk from the building.

I dont like backing up my cars, 1 is big and turns wide, The other I cant see a damn thing with the mirrors regardless of where I set them

FIND ANOTHER JOB.

Any company that pulls something like this after a year is setting you up for something.  Either that or managment is populated by enough assholes to make shit like this happen.

Either way, it don't sound good at all.

What did it say?  My guards sometimes put those on our "client's" vehicles just cause their bored and the written policy says that they (the guard) are correct.  After weighing in, I usualy have them send me the ticket and I shred it.  Most company tickets are a joke.

Date time, Car info, tag.  It had 3 boxes 1 for each type of restricted space, visitor, eomplyee of month and handicapped.  None were checked.

So then is there an official company policy against back-in parking?

Interestingly enough I've worked at companies with policies going both ways.

One: Like yours wants only straight in parking so that they can tow your ass.

Two: Schlumberger says that it makes more sense to back in so that your first move is forward, which is safer.

So, if you're backed in or pulled through, it's safer.

Fuck em

They had something about 8 months ago about no backing in becuase people were hitting other peoples cars.  I park far away because people hit my car.  I would expect them to say something about it between then and now, plus there is 5 empty spaces in every direction around me.

Just tell them you park far enough out of the way and pull through ... you think security would have something better to do, but I guess not.

+1 UNLESS the people who monitor the parking lot are an independent company. I've worked at places where the rent-a-cops ticketed cars and they usually left me alone once I told them I was an employee.

If it's not rent-a-cops, sounds like your days there are numbered.

I would think so too.  It might have to "breakdown" in a spot so it can be a pain in the ass for awhile.

Regardless of whether you back in or pull in, the car is the same damn size. So I don't see what the issue is. If people are hitting others, that isn't your fault. Nope. That's the fault of whoever passed them during their drivers license road exam and who clearly aren't capable of handling the duties.

Park closer to other cars, and back out real wide, leaving a scratch from front to back of the car next to you.

Bonus points if it is a pain in the ass manager's car.

There you go, trying to bring reality into the life of a mall ninja. They are entitled to be fake Ninjas as much as fat old guys at the beef jerky stand thinks he is entitled to be a fake Seal.

That guy must have gotten deployed on a secret mission, thats why he wasnt selling beef jerky at the show Sat.

That makes a lot of sense at a place like Schlumberger, where if you have an accident backing up when you park, it's just a fender bender or a scuffed building.

But if you back out and a truck driver and rig operator dont see each other, possible big accident, machinery out of operation and lost man hours.

The solution is simple.  Call the shift supervisor on duty for the security company and tell him that you are upset about the ticket, and tell him why.  3rd party security (ie Contract security company) are there to serve you (the employee).  They will or should do whatever they can to help you.  Trust me on this one, it's the way things work.  IM me if you want.  I am a Shift Supervisor for a securiy contract for a fortune 500 corporation.  You have all the power, as long as you use it.
