Well it took a year of testing and gathering certified documents and getting poked and prodded but I finally got hired by the police department where I live. It seemed like a lot to go through but I know that I haven't even began the real work. So is going through the academy all that rough?  Or is it one of those grit your teeth sort of things? What was it like for you when you went through the academy? Stories please?

Congrats and my words of advice are, get your trigger finger ready,  you'll need it for holding a pen to do all that paperwork lol

As far as the academy is concerned, take it one day at a time and enjoy the opportunity to begin the learning process, WHICH IN LE, NEVER ENDS.  Good Luck, you'll do just fine.

They are each a little differnet.  It's not difficult.  Relax and enjoy it.
