Looks like a rather large pin is missing. Or it could be a bad bearing. Maybe it's a possum?

That "little noise" must have had a good beat. How would you rate it? Could you dance to it?

It seems indifferential now, though.

Meh, that's just the parts seating themselves in there.  Like how you break in a new engine.  It's fine.

Going to need a stronger drive line and clutch.

Pin broke or maybe the lock bolt that secures it. Pin came out. Results are it tears the shit out everything. Where's the pin? That looks like it took the housing and everything else.

Looks like it worked itself out a while ago....you should be good.

A couple months ago I thought my brakes were going bad with a mild sound.  I heard a loud snap and pulled right back in the driveway.  Apparently Dodge had forgotten to grease a large amount of bearings.  Too bad I didn't get the recall.  50,000 miles on a dry bearing!

Nice.
I just did a big Spicer rearend in a Uhaul/Chevy C6500 truck that ate the spiders up.  Filled a quart can with gear fragments.  Was not cheap to fix, nor light to handle.
