I just saw a cartoon in the ultra-leftwing Tucson Weekly newspaper that surprised and disgusted me (not that I should have been surprised). The second frame alluded to how Bush "destroyed the economy by providing a tax cut to the rich in the middle of the recession".
Actually, when I thought about it, it seemed pretty ludicrous. After all, if you get a tax cut in the MIDDLE of a recession, it means the recession has reached bottom is the economy is now recovering, doesn't it? Then the tax cut would be a good thing. Idiots.
I'm really sick of seeing cartoon after cartoon in this rag accusing Bush of stealing the election when it was Gore doing the illegal chicanery to "win at any cost".
The only reason I read the thing is that they keep tabs on the local pols and report what the mainstream press won't, but if the cartoons accurately portray the mindset of the liberal left, we're going to have a civil war before much longer. The difference this time is that one side will have firearms and the other won't.
I'm giving SERIOUS consideration toward spending my $600 on an ad in this rag that will really P.O. the "hail to the thief" crowd. But I hate giving them my money.
