I was cutting my lawn today and all of A sudden i'm face down in the grass.
Looking down I find hte ground beneath me has caved in.
Looks like I have A mole or 2 tearing up my yard pretty bad.
What is the best way to kill/chase them off?
Thanks.

P.S.
I live in the city so "busting A cap in it's ass." is not an option.

Get a mean dog? Keep a Democrat on a chain in your yard and don't feed it?

Go back to your ship and nuke them from orbit.

Get a mole trap they work pretty good , I have also stuck the water hose in behind them while they were still in their tunnel , they dug straight up out of the ground to keep from drowning , then Stomped that Sucker

An Adult AirRifle will do too. Pointed Pellets at 1000fps will do nicely and it's as silent as it gets. Just the sproing from the spring (if you choose a spring piston design). You get reasonably accurate ones from $70 and up. Reasonably accurate means 1/2 inch groups at 20 yards. That's good enough.
Pellets are $3 for 250 to $10 for 500 depending on the quality of pellet that you use. There are cheaper ones out there but I cannot recomend going that way. I prefer RWS or Beeman pellets.
Also keep in mind that spring powered airguns have to be fired using different technique than regular firearms.
Many jurisdictions do not consider air guns firearms. That makes it legal to discharge them within city limits.... Check your local laws!!

And if you don't feel like varmint hunting in your yard then there's poison.... boring... :)

Run a hose from your mower's exaust to the burrows, and gas the little bastards.

I've only been able to catch and kill one mole in my yard. I stuck a hose in a fresh tunnel and flushed him out - saw his little snout sticking up above the water sniffing - grabbed him by the tail and flung him up in the air about 20 feet. They are kind of delicate.

I live next to woods & have killed LOTS of moles. You'll find alot of info on the internet, but the spring loaded spike traps are what I use. Moles don't last more than a couple of days when they show up. Find an active borrow & make a hole with two fingers to let the light in. Set the trap above the hole. Either the light pisses them off or this partially blocks the borrow & they will start pushing out dirt. WAM! End of mole. Every time a trap is sprung, I dig the little fuzzy beast out to make sure that I got'em. I've had up to 4 confirmed kills in a week in less than a acre of ground.

Spike traps and treat your lawn with a grubicide. No grubs= no food for the moles.

NOT the best advice given.

Traps are the best advice.

Buy mole/vole traps and kill them.

Moles can and do eat more than just grubs.

The grubicide works ...

If you don't want to use chemicals you can use these.
SONIC GOPHER REPELLER

It sends the moles to the neighbor's yard.
