I'm looking for some ammo in bulk. Milsurp is fine. I don't want the fancy packaged $1 per round stuff, but i don't want wolf. Sometihng mid stream. Hirtenberger would be fine for me. I jsut can't find a good place. Ammoman seems to have little or no .308. Anybody?

The last batch of .308 I got was port from The Sportsmans Guide. IRC it was about $170.00 for 1000 shipped to FL. echo6

That stuff is bad news. I think it was waterlogged because it was filthy and had dirt all over it. Now onto the problems me and Green18 had. He had a bullet get stuck in his barrel due to an underload charge. I had one bullet fall apart in my hand (no powder inside) and another fell apart while loading mags. Save your money and save up for some from Wideners or wait for aimsurplus

Agreed! Which is bad? I've used Hirtenberger before, and had pretty good luck. Which kind did you get?

Australian 7.62 on strippers in bandoleers
The long-awaited Australian .308 has finally arrived. This is absolutely some of the best .308 ever made. It is 1983 dated, non-corrosive and Berdan primmed. It is packed on 5-rd strippers with 50-rds per snap closure bandoleer. There are (4) bandoleers to a 30 cal ammo can; (4) cans to an original crate. This is being sold by the crate for a total of 800 rds.

$130 + shipping/800 round sealed wooden case. Initial reports on the FALFiles.com board are that its very clean and more accurated the Port. I just picked up two cases but haven't had a chance to test it myself. The CMP is supposed to be selling this too.
