Ruger Mk II Target, 4" (I think, not sure) bull barrel, blued, looks to be in good condition (although I only saw it in the glass case, I was in a hurry and didn't have a chance to take it out and look at it). I don't know if any mods have been done to it. $299.

Looks like this one:

UPDATE

I got the cash together and went back to the gun shop. I made an offer but the guy wouldn't budge, so I took it for $299. Looks like no mods have been done to it.

It has a 5 1/2" barrel.

I would have already had it home, the best semi auto IMO, Ruger can stuff that MKIII...  Go back and get it!

Fo fo sho.

No MkIII bullshit, great pistola.  Shouldn't have any trouble getting your 3 bills back if you don't like it.

But offer $250 first... you never know.

looks like an older one.  Check to see if its tapped for the scope mount.  the upper is the serialed part and its expensive to have it shipped to do so, Don't ask me how i know

I probably would have grabbed it if I could have put it on layaway, but it's on consignment, and my budget is already done until after Christmas. That's the hard part.  I'm trying to think of a way to scrape up the cash.

If it isn't, there's a gunsmith here who can drill and tap it. I've already had him do a standard model for me.

I "FOed" on this 6" barreled 1978 Standard/MK I today. I have around $100.00 in it. It came with two boxes of what looks to be 90s vintage Winchester Power Point 40 gr HP ammo.

The price on each box was $1.09.

I have a Mk II Gov't Target that I bought years ago, it's been in storage for a long time. I wasn't sure what would be a good price today.

Here's the Gov't:

I've picked-up four (two Standards & two MK IIs) and a pac-lite upper for my can over the last 1.5 years.

Nice collection.

I actually didn't buy this gun for myself. I've been thinking for a while that if I could find another bull barreled model for a decent price, it would go good with that Gov't model I posted above as a couple of presents for my boys. So now that I've finally picked one up, they'll both be surprised with a new handgun.

I have a 4" tapered model that I'll keep for myself.

You did fine. I'd pay $300 for one.
