When I came back from my morning run, I found this little lady was hanging around next to my front door:

UPDATE:

Took this outside:

and fixed the problem:

Paper towel was to prevent spider goop from gumming up my pliers.

Fire... THEN orbital strike.

Catch one more and you can let them race along your weiner.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't mess with it, but since it was right next to the front door and I have curious dogs, I have already defeated it with pliers. Give me a minute and I'll get a pic...

That's too funny. I found one a couple of weeks ago...about 10 days after moving into my new house in SC. After reading all the responses...I scrolled back up just to check your location, and BAM...SC...

Mine got away though

Everytime I walked by her web with the trimmer, she would pop out to see what was going on. After repeating this for my son, and others, I had poison in hand...on the last time through with the trimmer, she did not pop out. Somehow she knew something was up...

I sprayed up in the crevice she lived in, but I don't think I got her. She is likely having babies in our house about right now...oh well.

BTW, after researching them on the internet, their poisin is not nearly as toxic as I had always assumed. A fever is about the worst thing that would happen to me...but my son, he could have worse symptoms. The Brown Recluse however, with its flesh decaying poison, is a much worse bite IMHO.
