Good on them, but needs less foul language and moar firearms. I didn't even necessarily mean drawn or presented firearms.... But were it me, until that dude drops that flashlight, I'm at the very least hand-on-gun. As for actually detaining him, probably not such a hot idea. Everything was very well documented... if nobody was in immediate danger, no sense opening up that big liability can or worms. Fatty McWifesmack there didn't strike me as the "bug out to Costa Rica" type. |

Good on them, but needs less foul language and moar firearms. That would have been satisfying as well. That language thing is important, though. If force is going to need to happen, I wanna do all I can to make sure everyone within sight and earshot knows I'm the good guy, and not the one looking for trouble. Especially when/if the cops show up. I know keeping one's temper in check can be a real bitch, but if it's ass-kicking time, it's also time for sir, ma'am, please and thank you. "Smile until you clear leather!" is what I used to teach. |

I see lots of people will get to go to jail.
You cant beat the shit out of someone, no matter how much they deserve it, if they are walking away. |

Whoa.
I cringed when they allowed d-bag to get into his cab. I cringed when camera man walked in front of the truck after d-bag had it started. Finally, I cringed when our hero jumped into the d-bag's truck. But good on 'em. Where's the MYOB crowd? Did I make it? |
|
But she loves him, they'll make up and he'll beat the shit out of her again.
No sympathy for her if that happens. |

View Quote Even worse, by the next day her story will be he was just angry it was ok but those strangers man they came and assaulted him, THEY need to go to jail. Domestic abuse, as fucked up as it is, is an issue to call the 911 boys and then walk away from. |

Unless you believe they are about to drive off with a victim in the bed of their truck. Which the driver wasnt going to do until he was threatened....By the people assaulting him. They even admit they are trying to get him to stay there, but I dont believe you can legally hold someone like that. Which is why a whole bunch of people could end up in jail. If the cops decide they dont want to play "he said she said" you can damn well bet a bunch of people are going downtown, and not entirely undeserved. Like I said, just because someone should have their ass kicked doesnt mean its legal to do it. |

It was her one day per year out of the pit and she couldn't behave!!

Eh, If you ever felt the urge to beat someone senseless this would be a great opportunity.

Uh oh.
Thin blue line front plate and whooping with a flashlight. ( don't list me bro) |

Nothing good could possibly come from getting involved in that white trash fuck show.
Just start shooting vertical video and shouting, "WORLDSTAR!" |

Good on them, but needs less foul language and moar firearms. Would he have been justified in shooting the ones who were beating him while he tried to escape? Oprah solution. You get a bullet and you get a bullet and you get a bullet. Everyone gets a bullet! |

From a jaded perspective, both of them probably needed to go to jail. I bet the cops have been to their trailer at least a dozen times where both of them get drunk and hit each other. Then the cops come and arrest the primary agressor. Then she refuses to testify and the state drops the charges.
What I think happened... She broke out the window with the flashlight while he was in the driver's seat. Then hit him with the flash light, then he grabbed the flashlight and opened the truck door and as he did that, she fell to the ground and cut her legs on the glass. Then she climbed up on the truck bed and that's where the video started. To those that broke that shit up, if not U.S. citizens, they need to be. |

Good on them, but needs less foul language and moar firearms. Nope. A gun wasn't necessary. That fuck was scared shitless as it was. without anyone needing to point a gun at him. Nothing in his body language signaled an intention to use that mag lite on anyone but her...and that stopped once he was challenged. Promising to feed him that flashlight if he didn't drop it would be sufficient to get the job done. |

In some areas it's perfectly legal to detain someone who commits a violent crime like assault. In some areas not so much. I doubt anything will happen to the guys who intervened because the dude they whooped on was a shithead. |

Finally someone who knows how to video horizontally and generally keep the camera focused on the action

The last good Samaritan I got to meet was in the back of my ambulance last week. Skinny white gangbanger wanna be tried to stop his real gangbanger "friends" from beating on a girl and they stabbed him in the neck and the groin. He was seriously lucky to be alive.

You don't get cuts on your legs from a blunt object like a flashlight. I bet neither one is an innocent party in this fight. DV cases are rarely cut and dry. Homeboys are lucky the old man didn't just go for broke and use his truck as a killdozer. |
