basically narrowed it down to either:

RF-109

or

CX4

the AK is cheaper, and won't suck up any as much money in 'accessories' as the CX4.....but the CX4 is just damn cool
sadly 'get both' is not an option :-/

Serious question.. what's the big deal about the Storm?  I mean it looks space-guny, but what's the advantage?

Same appeal as the KelTec Sub2000 (one of which I'm buying)?

well, for me at least, the KelTec isn't very 'upgradable'...and i really just don't like the way it looks, just a preference thing though

Perfect example of a non-Class 3 fun gun.

- Light
- Light Recoil
- Common mags, Common ammo
- Handles GREAT
- Rails for accessories
- etc.

[edit] Not sure about how much longer they will be available, hopefully SteyrAUG will jump in with more info. If this gun stays on the market long enough, I definitely will pick one up.

Storms may stop being imported/produced, if you still want an AK, you can always get one next year.

AK, unless you already have one.

Get the AK if you don't already have one.

The mags are cheap, the ammo is cheaper and it is alot scarier looking for the liberals.

I would get the CX4 STORM! because it's so cool and modern, I think it would be a very fun plinking gun to play with at the range or
to use as camp carbine. Cheap to shoot so you
will be using it a lot, buy the 100 rd value
packs at Walmart.

The CX4 Storm would also make a handy home defense carbine with SPEER GOLD DOT JHP ammo.

this is the only thing keeping me from getting the CX4 right now, my small collection just feels kinda 'naked' without an AK [:O]

I personally don't care for small calibur rifles.  I'd get the AK, more power, larger capacity magazines, bump firing is a blast, cheap, cheap, cheap...can't go wrong.

Beretta just looks WEIRD.

Get the AK. Its a true battle rifle that makes Liberals wet themselves.

I would get the storm, but thats only because I had alot of 92 mags [:P]

If you have or are going to get a 92 as a side arm then the Storm would be nice other wise I'd go with the AK and not look back. Ammo is cheaper, 30rnd. mags are cheap and available and the one you want just plain looks cool. You can always get the Storm at a later date. AK all the way.

or you could just save your money, dont impulse

I’d go with the AK (cough! gasp!! - I can’t believe I actually said that!!).

I have no real use for rifles that shoot pistol cartridges (except maybe .44 Magnums).

The exception to the above being if the nearest/best range available doesn’t allow rifle cartridges.

What are you guys talking about with regards to the Storm possibly not being available here in the future?  This might cause me to go buy one.  What's the deal with that?  Also, do 15 rd mags fit flush?

Thanks.

AK...

The Storm would be a great gun, if it took Sten or Uzi mags and had a magwell outside the grip (being a rifle, there is no legal requirement for a grip-integral magwell)...

As it stands, it's no better than one of those MecTec carbine-conversions, except for being made by Beretta...

Yeah, the 15rders fit flush. The 20s (93R mags (Think 'Beretta's entry for world's smallest subgun', or 'full auto 92FS') stick out

Beretta 15rd and 10rd mags are the same size, since the 92F was designed for the 15rd ones, the 10rd ones can't be smaller...

I guess I'd get the storm, but then again I've got the other.
