Was at the BX/PX this afternoon and went back to check out the gun section.  They had an FN there but the price on it was 900 bucks.  the dudes at the BX/PX have been known to miss-mark a thing or two before.  I just don't remember the price on those being that high.  Has the price on those things gone up or have they always been that expensive?

It's in the ballpark.   I've seen them for ~$799-899.  I think the cheapest I have ever seen them was through CDNN at about $789.

Cheapest was on Sturmgewehr.com  $750.  Make sure you get 3 mags. Some of the dealers are taking one out and selling the gun for less with 2 mags.

I paid $800 for an IOM, with three magazines.

ETA: California prices seem to fall higher than normal, so I'd think $780 would be about the norm, or low price elsewhere. Or maybe I got a good deal, I dunno.

yeah I noticed they only had one magazine with the gun.  I inquired about a Sig mosquito and the guy went in the back and brought one out in a case and it had NO magazine at all.  I'm really not interested in the 5.7 at all.  I just thought that price was steep.  Now the Mosquito on the other hand... Yeah, I'll be owning one of those bad little boys.

If you don't like the Walther P22, then forget about the SIG. The same engineering company designed both, based on European blank-firing gas-guns. The SIG suffers many of the exact same problems the P22 did (and continues to now), and no facet of either gun is particularly outstanding.

The best deal for a fullsize-style 22LR is still. . . . -a conversion kit for a fullsize.

Given the prices here, I wouldn't pay more than 800 for one...but you do live in Alaska where everything seems to cost more.
