Long story short: a friend and genuinely good guy had his banjo stolen, out of his car, while he was in the damned hospital.  He is not the sort who can just go out and replace it.  He is active in the community, and plays for kids and teaches values through music.  I put an appeal out here, on the music forum, and at the UMGF, the Martin guitar forum for some help, to help me help him.  Guess what?  Less than 3 days later, I have an individual who is GIVING me nice banjo to give to him, and enough folks chipped in to cover shipping.  I am SO IMPRESSED with people right now, absolutely high on it.  What an honor to be able to help another like this.
