I have a goatee. Eric_A is right, its not about an attitude, its just what I like. Not to mention women like it too. Its that rugged, real man look. I've been told I look rather intimidating with it but I don't mean to. I just like the way it looks.

I do 9 months out of the year and then let my entire beard grow out for the 3 month deer season.

I shaved evey day for 21 years and hated it. I don't really like a full beard so I shave my cheeks (the ones on my face) twice a week. Ah, retired life.

Heck yeah I got a goat.
I look like a 40 something Burger king line worker without the goat and just the mustache. Total babyface without anything. |

Yep.......me too but I agree that it is not about an "attitude". It is simply a personal choice
Shaving bites and besides, my wife digs it. I think that the opinion of it "sharing attitude" is something conjured up by folks who find that it makes a person look somewhat sinister in a way. So, they take that kinda sinister look to be the one desired by the wearer of said Goattee and whala............. that dudes got a bad attitude. Couple that with a very high and tight hair doo and you can even get called a Neo-Nazi Skinhead. At least thats what I was told I looked like the other day. |

I have a goatee and really like it. It keeps my face from looking to round but my wife does say I look intimidating with it. Thers a guy I know who keeps telling me I look like Garth Brooks but I don't see it.

I have had mine for 11 out of 34 years now, and YES it is an attitude. I like to be the only one with a goat at a meeting w/IBM or HP.. too freakin many stuffed shirts in this world.
Oh, they just love my AR15 sticker on the car... Go with the flow and you will be washed away... Allen |

I've had a goatee for about 6 years now. Just recently, I've decided to let a full beard grow in just to see if I like it. It's nice not to have to shave everyday.

I've had mine for 7 years straight and have never shaved it off. I do keep it trimmed pretty neat so it's not scragly.

I can't grow a van dyke, that little strip that connect the goatee to the mustache won't come in:( I have let the hair along my jawline grow (trimmed) to give me a nice proffesional, i.e. thin, beard.
