$560 OTD is the absolute maximum I'd pay for a Gen 4 Glock.
And you don't list 26 as an option.

Price seems high but I would go with a 19 over a 17. I have a 34 for 3 gun and a 19 I carry.

I always see the midsize glocks as pretty worthless to me. Full size when I can, and subcompact when I can't.....the only reason to have a G19 is if you're only going to have a single pistol.

You are like me. You don't mind carrying full size pistols.
Get the G17 and don't look back. I love my G17 (Gen 4) The only reason I haven't sold my G19 is "because". I carry my 17, it's also my night stand gun. I don't do either with my 19. 19 isn't a bad gun, I just prefer full sized pistols. G17 is a great one. |

I have purchased ONE gun at Cabellas because it was a Cabellas exclusive and not a bad deal (P320 w/ RDS). Never again. I waited over an hour to complete the 4473 and NICS. Wasn't even that busy.

They're both good guns.....pretty much comes down to size.

$619 is ricockulous. I didn't pay more than $500 for my three. Used but none of them looked like they had even been fired and all have been flawless.
I thought my EDC G19 had an issue as the slide would never lock back on the last round. Turns out my weak hand thumb was hitting the extended slide release I installed. Remover it for the factory slide release and its been amazing ever since. ETA - Gen 3 19, Gen 3 30 and Gen 4 21. Over the past 5 years. |

Gonna buck the trend and say Glock 17. Slightly larger and for me more comfortable to shoot then the 19. That being said, the 19 isn't a horrible idea cause you can use the G17/G19 mags in it. If you have some spare money I know guys on here pay to get their G17s chopped and basically make a G19L.
