Nope, not a Hesse. It's actually one of the better clones out there, but not for $1100. Special Weapons is selling this in kit form with an FMP receiver and all the parts except for the firing pin. The kit w/ receiver is selling for $500. Jim Gravitt @ Pro-Tech Engineering is charging $325 for a build w/ firing pin. Approx $825 for a complete FMP clone.

The clown claims to be an authorized JVC dealer - guess maybe he actually knows what he's talking about re: HK reps, eh?

This tidbit did it for me: "(This job looks so good even Hk reps can't tell the gun from the real one)" Yeah sure, specially the welds.

I was on gunbroker last week and there must have been 15 SW guns there. Another one of toads dealers trying to run away?

Jim's a great guy to have do your work, but is very slow. When it comes to firearms, he takes his time to make sure it is done right! FWIW: I live just a few minutes from Jim, and he does all of our custom work. He also contracts and does a lot of custom machining for the factory that Grin&Barrett owns. Check him out here: www.protech-engineering.com

Check his feedback, even if you win the bid, if it's not as high as he'd like he'll refuse to complete the deal...

Oh,yea a HK rep.can't tell the difference between a true pre-ban 91 and a post-ban clone. All you have to see is that it has a muzzle brake wielded on instead of a flash hider.

How are the SW's barrels attached? Do you need a press? Can you just assemble parts? I know that it's just a "parts" gun, but what is involved in assembling one? I might start collecting parts!

Thanks for the link antiUSSA. Been thinking about buying a kit pc by pc. Figure its the cheapest way to go, but had no clue how to put one together(Kinda like when I bought my AR kit) Now I have a source. Can I use you as a reference, or will he hunt me down cause I know you [;D]
