Picked up a bottle of Christengel Glühwein at Aldi last week and drinking it tonight. It's a German mulled wine with spices that is served warm. Not bad, especially for $5 a bottle.

Glühwein is very popular during the holidays. I am not a wine fan but it is pretty good. The locals always added a little rum.

Drank the shit out of it when I lived in Germany from 86-88. During the winter, vendors were on the corner selling it in styrofoam cups. That stuff woud really warm you from the inside out.

Had it when I was stationed in Germany. Went to the Christmas market in Nuremberg and drank gluwein while listening to a live Christmas music in the snow. Was a memory I will never forget.

Quite a few of my colleagues are Germans here temporarily and I've heard many stories of Gluhwein being a tradition while at the Christmas markets.

being German obviously I love Glühwein
just a little tip put a little rum in it this will be very nice also heat it up put a spoon of honey in with the rum and enjoy |
