Are they even worth buying? I have cheap one now, but it's hust a little handheld and it isn't that clear.
I've been looking at these to play with. Anyone own a pair of Gen 1's.
I'm thinking the Gen 3's are the only way to go, but they are like 3k.

You get what you pay for when it comes to NVGs. I was thinking of getting Gen 1s at one time, and someone on this board made a great analogy about the visual quality:

It's about as good as looking through an NCstar scope with vaseline on both ends of the tube .
