I walked her down the aisle, kissed her, then handed her off to her new husband. He is a fine young man and will make a great husband to her. Man, that was a HARD thing to do! A nice little country wedding with simple vows made it seem more real that the gaudy shows put on by some couples. I have nothing against the big showy wedding, they are fine for some types of people, but for my family the simple style is fine.

And yes, I cried. How can you not?

The second time that he visited, when they were dating, we went shooting. He has since bought two guns to augment the two belonging to my daughter.

Well Congrads. You've had her all these years, now it's time for her to fly the coup. Wait until the grand kids starts showing up, that is going to be real fun.

I don't even want to think about it. I've been telling my 6 year oldf that she can get married but she is still going to live with Dad and Mom. Her husband will have to live in his own house. She has no problem with that, at this time.

+1. My daughter is 3 and seems to be in agreement with your 6 year old.

I'm not looking forward to that day. If all goes well, I will have succeeded in terrifying all of her prosepcts. I figure Any guy that's nuts enough to still persue her after everything I've put them through, must be a-ok.
