DAMN!! What the hell is up with these things?

She was in the garage and got some oil on her back from walking underneath the car. I didn't want it cleaning the oil off its back and getting sick or all over the furniture.

So, I decided to give the witch a bath. Flipped out and went crazy!

I have given 100lb plus dogs baths that went smoother than this fiasco. I couldn't finish rinsing the dog shampoo off and now its hiding in the house.

Demon animals!

might as well wash them with fire

Cats are suppose to be "self cleaning". Some cats like water and will stand for a bath, with others you'd be better off shooting your self in the head rather then give them a bath. I guess if you went about it slow and easy so as not to scare them you might make a better time of it. Better luck next time.LOL

Had a couple of cats who needed flea baths. After a while, they got use to baths and figured out that I wasn't trying to drown 'em.

OK Piccolo, tell us the story of bathing the SEC.

Our cat is actually pretty good about getting a shower. She meows a little, but doesn't really try and escape or claw you.

When washing your cat be sure to use delicate cycle with a mild detergent.

TJ,

My cat Unit 3 put me in the hospital last time I gave him a bath. He bit my finger to the bone. It got infected, and I was on intravenous antibiotics for 12 days.

Next time pay a professional to do it. It's worth the $25 - $30 not to get torn up.

PS My cat doesn't mind baths....Try filling up the tub, throwing him/her in it (relatively gently, but quickly) and stand back. From my experience, cats HATE running water and the sound of water more than they do the actual element. So be sure to run off the running water before you bring the cat into the bathroom...

DON'T DROWN YOUR KITTY BY THE WAY.....i.e. don't use too much water

What is The Sarges take on all this?

His method probably involves 5 gallons or so of gasoline and a lit match.

I petted the cat named "Flash stripper" that was enough for me.

Guess why is he is named that.
Link Posted: 10/1/2004 6:35:04 PM EST
There is an easier way I just thought of.

Get a small metal cage.
Place cat inside it.
Get a garden hose with bottle attachment (that mixes water and soap) and put cat shampoo in it.
Hose cat down, while it is in the cage, with soap/water mix.
Rinse in same fashion.
Don welding leathers, face mask, winter parka, etc.
Release cat pointing downrange, just like you would when clearing a gun.

I have one cat that hops into the shower with the wife but can't stand to get a bath.

The other one HATES water, but once she is wet she will just sit there yowling.

Tip of the day:

When giving kitty a bath SHUT THE DOOR so kitty can't get out.

I also had a cat that would hop into the shower with me. He used to hop into my pants when I was reading on the pot, too. I miss that guy.

BTW - sgtar15 dosn't mind giving cats baths -

of course, he calls it "marinading"

If I looked as bad as a cat does naked I wouldn't want anyone to see me wet either!

Actually, the bathing the cat part isn't so bad, you get to learn lots of new swear words from the cat.

The hard part is waiting for the cat to take its revenge at some random point over the next few weeks....
