That was the scene on the way to work this monring.

I drive from Brandon, all the way accross Jackson (Mississippi) to get to work and every station I saw that had gasoline, there was no waiting. many stations were still out of gas(at least they had signs indicating that, I bet they will have fuel today), which is more reason to be relieved that there were no long lines at the stations with fuel.

Someone was arrested near here for gouging ... he was charging $3.75.

Another fella, a hotel owner was also arrested for gouging room rates.

The price just dropped from 2.99 to 2.79 today in Minneapolis. No shortages because we get gasoline from Canada.

Driving home from PA last night I pulled over at a Citgo to make a sandwich. My dad went in to get a soda, and asked the owner about his "out of gas" signs. Guy said he had run out the night before, but expected the truck between 10PM and midnight. And when it got there he was dropping from $3.20 to $2.60.

Link Posted: 9/6/2005 7:23:24 AM EDT

The east coast pipelines (Colonial in particular) just reopened last night. So we should be seeing increased supplies and lower prices on the east coast soon.
Now that the pipelines are coming back online, the next worry will be the refineries.

Central TX $2.89 for diesel. It has gone down .10 in the last couple days. I figured they had gone up because they could not get any for the short term demand. Guess they are okay for today.

I paid $3.09 with a $50max in Vicksburg on Saturday night.

Seeing how from Meridian to Vicksburg there were only 3 places I saw that had fuel, I didnt complain. I didn't even mind the 20 min wait.

Beggars cant be choosers.

I've seen the prices trying to come down around here. Some places Saturday had it from 2.89-2.99. Others I think are trying to milk it for as long as they can. Still seeing 3.29 at some places.

I read today that gas in Germany went up to approximatly $5.50 a gallon or so.

Kinda glad I am deployed, would really suck to run out of gas on the Autobahn.

Still $3.09 in Denver, I am hoping my truck has enough gas this week. Hopefully it will be lower on Friday.

Amazing how it dropped right after the Labor day weekend.

Yeah, I know, the storm and all...but it sure timed out perfect.

Didn't say that I was happy about paying a little less than $3/gal. I was just saying that I'm happy the price is going down. Hopefully, the price drops will continue.

You're trusting the news? I wouldn't be shocked if they went to old closed gas stations and put up the numbers just to have a story, and try to cause a shortage which would be another story.
