What the heck is 85 octane gasoline?
87 - $1.87
89 - $1.96
93 - $2.05
Funny how gas prices at the pump have risen about 50 cents over the last month yet the wholesale price of gasoline have hovered around 77 cents for most of the summer. First excuse was the refinery explosion in Romeoville, IL. Then it was a supply problem. Right.

$1.46 for diesel
Gas prices have dropped about 30 cents over the past month or so up here. Diesel's stayed pretty much the same, between $1.45 and $1.50. I wonder how long it'll stay that way?

Bahh. Gas went up almost $.30 a gallon here in the last week. @ $1.69-$1.79 for 87 octane.
"Gasoline stocks are particularly tight in the Midwest, where a recent fire at Citgo's 160,000-barrel-a-day refinery in Lemont, Illinois, has knocked out the plant for up to six months. Prices have soared at the pump, particularly in the Midwest."
