What the heck is 85 octane gasoline?

87 - $1.87
89 - $1.96
93 - $2.05

Funny how gas prices at the pump have risen about 50 cents over the last month yet the wholesale price of gasoline have hovered around 77 cents for most of the summer. First excuse was the refinery explosion in Romeoville, IL. Then it was a supply problem. Right.

$1.46 for diesel

Gas prices have dropped about 30 cents over the past month or so up here. Diesel's stayed pretty much the same, between $1.45 and $1.50. I wonder how long it'll stay that way?

Georgia, where the peaches are sweet and the gas is red dirt cheap.  2 years ago I could get it for 0.79 at QT (quick trip).

I guess I should go further south to get gas.  It's really gone up as I paid 1.399 for regular gas this past Sunday.
