They are on sale at WalMart. Looks like they would make a good flashlight to use in conjunction with a handgun.

They also take regular batteries, so that is a plus, and they look well built.

Anyone buy or use one? How have they held up?

Me, and about half of the firefighters I know use Garrity life lights on our buckets. I've personally melted about 8 pair of them and I'm always amazed at the abuse they will take.

A mudjacking contractor left one at my old house before I sold it. I called him and offered to bring it back to him and he told me to keep it, as he has a whole box of them. I keep it in my garage as sort of a spare. It gets knocked over, dropped, kicked, chewed on by a yellow lab, run over, thrown and generally mistreated. Still works. Best free flashlight I own.
