https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/08/16/marcus-lemonis-if-youre-ok-with-what-trump-said-dont-shop-at-my-business.html Serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis had some choice words on Wednesday about those who may support President Donald Trump's response to the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don't shop at my business," said Lemonis, who is CEO of Camping World and host of CNBC's "The Profit." In a chaotic Tuesday news conference, Trump appeared to equate torch-bearing white nationalists with the protesters who demonstrated against them. View Quote View Quote Update: Quoted:

I'm sure that'll help their already stellar financial performance.

Nobody will be able to shop at Gander soon because you're a fucking shit CEO and shit company. GFYS
|
|
The CEO is telling people not to shop in his stores.
Okay, I think I see the problem with their business plan. |
|
I avoid it already but now I will make damn sure to avoid it.
His core customers are more trumpeters than not. Fumduck |

Only idiots shop at gander mountain. It's not like he can afford to alienate anyone with his POS record
|
|
The only way this makes sense is if he is trying to take some of the Granola/Hipster market from REI.
|
|
Dont worry, i dont and wont shop for your overpriced offerings

No problem, I don't shop at their overpriced shithole anyway.

I don't think he is saying "Don't shop here if you support Trump", I think he is suggesting that Trump folk simply typically don't shop at Gander Mtn in the first l place...
...at least that's how I read the excerpt. |

did that fuckstick's show get cancel also? he's always been a dick.

Yeah, I noticed that. We just had a brand new Gander Mountain store built and open here a few months ago. Now I heard it's about to shut down. I didn't know that their CEO was a communist icehole either. Glad to hear they're closing down. ![]() ![]() View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ah yes the old 'don't shop in my store' business strategy. Works every time.
|
|
Even if you think that, why would you say it? How could explicitly telling approximately half of the country to not shop at your store be a good idea?
No one sits around wondering what the political opinions are of the CEO of a failing outdoor supplies store. If he hadn't said anything, no one would be saying "well jeez I wonder what the opinions were of that Gander Mountain CEO!". I'm past giving a shit about what people think, I just don't understand how a CEO could be dumb enough to say something like that publicly. I'm sure it sucks enough to be a Gander Mountain executive trying to right the ship of a failing company, but then to have your CEO come out and tell half the country to not buy stuff from your store... FFS. ![]() |

Brilliant strategy actually...
Now his annual report can blame someone for the piss poor performance of his company. It's not his fault, but his customer base. |
|
Alienate more people from your stores over Trump condemning racism, bigotry, neonazis, and antifa.
![]() My god no wonder..... |

I don't believe that the urban pajama boy leftists are the core customer base he needs to attract.
But I'll indulge his wishes and spend my money elsewhere. ![]() |

Gander Mountain went under and all stores around here closed. Th So no problem not shopping there, not that I ever shopped there before. The camping world guy bought what was left and was just keeping like 11 stores open from what I read.

I went into one of the dimwit's "why pay less" stores in my AO once, laughed, and left, never to return. It's closed now.
That is back when everyone was selling Mosin 91/30 refurbs at around $125.00 or less and those tools were wanting $250.00 for them. ![]() Sigh, that said there were plenty of rubes running around under GM caps after their Grand Opening. I asked one rube how much GM charged for the cap and he said $7.00.....It was on special. I laughed and told him they should have paid him to wear that cap around giving them free advertising. The rube was not amused. ![]() |

I'm just a lowly IT guy and make probably 1-2% of this guys total compensation, if that. Put me in charge and I will never tell half of my customers to shop elsewhere...ever.

The Gander by my house is dark and has no employees. He has a long road to go if he expects me to walk in the place.
|
|
FACT... practically all sportsmen support Trump.
FACT... sportsmen are supposedly GM's target market. FACT... GM told its target market to go elsewhere. If I were STILL a stockholder, I'd be having a fire-sale to divest. |
