Hey support an anti-US dictator or violent terrorist government and get free school, hospitals, better military equipment, better power plants, and just about everything else! A leader can not stand without the support of the people. Removing Sadam removed the only check against Iran. If we wanted a Democracy in the middle east we should have pushed for the Saudies to hold open elections. |

I know that. You know that. And the ultimate irony is that all the rest of the Arab world doesn't really give a flying f*ck about the palestinians. They are just a convenient club to beat on the Israelis with and to make the liberals in the US and Europe feel guilty. Seriously, a number of years ago, Jordan welcomed a big influx of palestineans into Jordan, and the ungrateful bastards attempted a coup! hmmmm....sounds suspiciously like the aztlan movement....

Is it just me or do a majority of Americans not see what happens when you let someone else decide how you should live your life...and how quickly things can turn down this same path?
Or do people just choose to ignor it? I tried watching the news today (the world is in an extreame sense of turmoil and we are on the brink of widespread war, you might even say we are already there) and the only thing on is about Paris Hilton. Come on people pull your head out of your a$$!!! |

The term "Palestine" referred to the region, not the nation. There was never a "Palestinian nation". The closest thing was the British mandate, which actually minted currency. As a nation, it was part of Syria and what now is Jordan. You could call it "Syrio-Jordania" and it wouldn't change the fact that it was never a "Palestinian" nation. |
