To focus on his Presidential campaign.

In before the RP haters.

In before the RP + sneakers picture.

I wouldn't mind seeing retirement from the House & Senate as a prereq for entering the Presidential race.

We are paying them to do a job, not campaign for a different one.

Good now he is effectively out of the picture and can do much less damage.

I don't think anyone has said that he doesn't.  Some of us though recognize that he's insane. After all, the definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over and expecting a different result. He runs again, he loses again. Rinse, repeat.

Me either.  Ron Paul is to Arfcom as Sarah Palin is to liberals.

And yet Arfcom leghumps Sarah, as if she is somehow "electable" in a way that Paul is not.  Confusing board is confusing.

There is no chance this guy can win the primary or the election when he runs third party, so all he is doing is taking votes from a good canidate that could win making it more likely a RINO will win in the primary and that obama will win in the election. If he really cared he'd stay in his current office and do what he could in his current position.

I view that as akin to saying, "I don't agree with the idea of public education, but since I am paying for it anyways, I will send my children to the good public school in my area." Or, "I disagree with the idea of child tax credits, but until they are abolished, it is in my interest to take advantage of them on my tax returns."  Both of which I personally do.

So tell me, am I a hypocrite for disagreeing with the current system, while working within the current structure until it is changed?

+1 it is funny to see people parrot the same old false or misleading attacks on Ron Paul and then bitch about the expansion of government and nanny state - brought to you by the nigh-identical two party establishment.

Supports machine gun ownership

It's unfortunate to be losing a real supporter of the 2nd ammendment, one that stands up for firearms rights unlike other so-called "progun" legislators that vote for assault weapon bans and liberal supreme court nominees.

At least we will still have Rand Paul in the senate.
