start unchecking some of the settings in 'LAYERS"

Yeah, by default the "Google community" something is checked. It's quite handy for some locations, but annoying as hell for others.

I went through all that and NOTHING is checked.

Check, and then uncheck, the Google community box. That did it for me.

Go to Layers > Google Earth Community > Military and check that box. It'll show the military bases, mostly US, around the world.

Off-topic, but what are the co-ordinates for the boathouse at Hereford? I want to know what colour the roof is.

Just be sure you have the coffee shops turned on....I could not beleive how many Starbucks there were. |

Indiana is not greyed out, the entire state is just about all hi-res, its probably just different satellite images. |

Most of them ar F-16's, but there are some A-10s, C-130's, a B-1B, a F-111, and a squadron of Israeli ADF F-16's. |
