Yipes. I don't think I want one of those. Remote control off switch.

So no more BMW, MB, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Infinity, Acura, Honda...etc for you if you do not want the remote control off switch, since all of them uses some form of telemetry and the manufacturer can, up to some limits, tune and correct problems your car remotely. Just remember, the first company that uses telemetry in racing is Honda in F1, and at one time, they can tune their engine while the race is going on, until FIA outlaw such practice. Now every F1 and Indy team have telemetry, and retune the race computer when they go in the pitstop.

Technology continues to advance, and it is going to find its way into the modern automobile, telemetry and remote tunning is one of the technology coming.

Live with it, or else you will be stuck with old cars.

Oh great... I'd hate to be at the track one day and the system kicks in to "save" me.

If you own a GM vehicle, ANY GM VEHICLE MANUFACTURED AFTER 1997, you already have Big Brother ridig shotgun with you every time you leave the driveway. GM's airbag computer records speed at impact, acceleration curve, braking force, and steering at time of impact and ALL of it can be downloaded AND USED AGAINST YOU in a court of law whether that be civil OR criminal court.

So, if you're speeding in your GM and you hit someone or otherwise cause a wreck, ANYONE with a decoder can tell if you were speeding, accelerating, or braking, which way you were turning, or if you have a history of speeding.
