Yep! She is new to shooting and really likes my SA 1911. So she and I have been looking around whenever we get a chance, at different handguns and she and I were at Cabelas recently and she realy took a liking to the 19. Truth be told, I like it too.. I think it would be a great gun for her, simple to use, they point well and as long as it doesnt blow up on her, a great pistol. I really cant find a reason for her not to get one.
What say you? |

There's really no excuse for not having a Glock, especially a 9mm.

It was probably a Gen 3 then. The main differences between the Gen 3s and Gen 4s is that the gen 4s have inter-changeable backstraps to change the grip size, and they also have a double recoil spring. Some people have been reporting issues with the Gen 4 design. Seems like all the bugs haven't been worked out yet. Gen 3 is what I have. Works great |

G19 is in my opinion one of the finest handguns ever made. It fits my hand perfectly, points very naturally, has decent capacity, and is unquestionably reliable. Get it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v632/zack3gpics/gunpr0n/2eec4e49.jpg It's my favorite as well. I have owned 1911s of all flavors, Smith & Wessons, Sig, etc. At the end of the day if I could only keep one it would be my Glock 19. |
|
Dude, don't buy it at Cabelas, you will over pay for it. Glock 19 gen 3 should only cost about $490.00 before tax and background check. And yes you should get her one, glk19 is a very nice gun.
|
|
If you are LEO/MIL find the "blue label" Glock dealer in your area. Will be cheaper, and will also come with 3 mags instead of 2.

Gen 3 Glock-19 for the win!
Gen 4 *ONLY* if she absoloutely can not fit her hands around the Gen 3 and needs a smaller back strap. |

There's really no excuse for not having a Glock, especially a 9mm. this. That. I picked up a G19 earlier this year. It's not perfect (IMHO), but it's a very good robust 9mm pistol that has tons of stuff readily available (mags, ammo, etc). Everyone should own one. My plan is to keep this G19 for... well... ever. |

I know... GF wants Glock and Purse Carry.
You know the rules, Bro. Pics of GF. |

The whore I used to be married to got a G19. I liked it better than my xd9sc that I traded up to a gen319 after the bitch left town. My favorite carry gun by far.

I have a G26, G19, and G17 right now. All good guns but the 19 is a great gun. It's the best for girls.
Buy the 19 for the girl. Especially if she wants it. Do it now. It's the right thing to do. And if you don't post picks of the new gun and the girl, you're going to hell. It's the rules. |
|
Quoted: G19 is in my opinion one of the finest handguns ever made First post. Everybody should have at least one, if not multiple, G19's |

The rules have been blatantly disregarded by someone who wants OUR help.
WTF is this bullshit! |

I took my wife shooting the other day. She shot my Colt 1911, G17, G19 & G21SF
She absolutely loved the G19 & shot it quite well. She's 5'3 120 |
|
I'm an itty bitty girl and I love my g19. I can even conceal it with a belly band and a button up shirt.
|
|
Has she shot one yet?
I love my G19, its my everyday carry piece. My wife love's to shoot my 1911's and her .357 revolvers, but she doesn't like to shoot my G19. I think she doesn't like the 'flex' that happens when firing. I asked her why she doesn't like it and all she could come up with was, "There's too much going on there." |
|
My wife just told me last night I need to buy another G26. I said "How about you can have that one and I'll buy a 21."
She shoots the 26 even better than my 19 and really likes the 26. If your lady likes the 19, I say go for it bro. Avoid the Gen 4 like the plague. A quick google on Gen 4 Glocks will show you the difference. The interchangeable backstraps are Gen 4. |
