So... what do you all have to say about them?

Better?  Worse?  Stupid?  Good color?

Any opinion would be appreciated.

Have a good one.

Save your money, buy regular bulbs. I didn't notice any big difference.

I like them. Plus I have a good bit of GE stock, so you should definitely buy as many GE lightbulbs as possible.

They are designed to be closer to "full-spectrum" lights than ordinary light bulbs.  Is that something you need or want?

ummm... i guess that sounds good.

But, along the same lines... that is like saying..... "I must have that new thing i saw on that rifle on TV... i KNOW i need it........ what is it?"

Try 'em before you buy a bunch. I got one free with a pack of bulbs and I personally didn't like the color temperature so it went back into the box.

I like the light they give out, but they aren't as bright as regular light bulbs of the same wattage.

it's dimmer than a regular(60wattvs60watt) bulb, I have full spectrum(as close as you can get) reptile fluorescent light tubes, it's no where near what it looks like. I'm not going to buy anymore

I love them...i hate that nasty dingy yellow light that regular and soft white bulbs give off

and i dont think its a color temp thing.  The glass has a coating that filters out the dulling yellow light and makes colors brighter

That's right.  It doesn't produce a different color of light, it merely filters light.  And they burn out too quickly.

The thing about those bulbs is that if you have a shade on the lamp that is not pure white you still get a yellow light.  I bought some when they first came out, I still use but that is because they are still burning but I won't be dropping any more cash on them.

They make my eyes tired and give me a headache. No idea why...

I've been using them in everything.  I like the whitish light vs the yellow.  I also use the (don't know the name) flourescent tubes that give a whiter light.  They make std. cool whites look totally yellow side by side.  Besides, the more natural color is supposed to help with depression.  And I need it!

I notice a less dingy yellow too.  Look better.
