You know you watch FMJ too much when you can recite/translate in english everything the Gunny says word for word

Jeebus!   Even in German, Gunny rocks!

That 5 minutes and 41 seconds was way better than the entire 6 and a half hours of Thin Red Line

I would sit through that whole movie like that. Seriously.

On a funny side note, one of the funnier things I have seen in my life was "South Park" in German. Saw it in Bayeux, France on my honeymoon. Cartman talking German is some funny shit, let me tell you.

When he is talking about how he is tough but fair, they don't have Jeden (Jews) in the Corps.
and if I am hearing it right, Pvt. Pyle's name is Pvt Powder, probably because most Germans wouldn't get the Gomer Pyle reference.

The German word for Jews is Juden; jeden is 'anyone' I think. He may have said Pvt. 'Paula' (obviously a woman's name) but I can't be sure.

I wonder if Ebay has the dubbed version for sale?  Probably the wrong Region code, but it would be worth it if you had a European region or Region free DVD.

[German]What is your major malfunction, Numbnuts?![German]

I think I've got the film memorized.  I have to work some on the infliction and my timing is a bit off, but if I turned off the sound, I'd bet I could do a fair recitation.

Actually....there isn't- not like R Lee's using it. "Buhl-schiet" suffices for the movie, though. Like a German sergeant saying, "Jawohl, Herr Oberst" in an English lang. movie.

You want funny? Rent or pop in the DVD and go to the languages section. Listen to it in french. You would swear they were all gay... "Oui Chef Oui" or something like that..

Japanese would be funny. You get that Samuri voice going..

Does the Gunny get royalties for them using his real voice in the war face yell?
