Anyone here every fly them?  Good times?  Bad Times?  I've flown most of the major carriers, but have never flown Frontier.  They have some prices for flights I need that are hard to pass up, but I want to make sure it's worth my money/time. (Not counting TSA fun)

Frontier is an outstanding airline, they have one of the youngest fleets in the industry and on top of their low prices even their cheapest seats are pretty comfortable and include satilite TV and movies.

I fly them whenever I can.

+1 to all of the above.

Great airline and good prices but be prepared to fly through Denver.

they have funny commercials
that's worth money in my book.

I flew them from Houston to Utah, no problems except for bad weather in Denver.  The seat TVs are great.

Going from Sacramento to Kansas City.  Denver is no problem.

I've never even seen a Frontier commercial. They're a great airline. I fly them every chance I get.

From KC, they have sort of strange routings sometimes, like going through Denver to get to Minneapolis, but their fares and service are approacing Southwest's. I'd fly them again, if they're going where I'm going and Southwest isn't.

They have an all-Airbus (318 and 319) fleet, with an average age of two years.

I actually get flight beni's through a relative. Can't beat $55 a flight!

I do really like them though. The TVs alone are worth it on long flights. All the staff is great. Good with flying pets too!

I recently had a flight to Denver from Ohio.  Eveything went well... flight was on time and pleasant.  I would fly again with them.  The $5 fee for the TV is worth it.

Huh?

The movies are a pay deal, but the regular sat TV channels are free!

Not on our flight.  The "free" TV cuts out after 10 minutes or so in flight... you then had one free channel and a flight map.

Nope. DirecTV is $5 for the flight. The first 10 minutes of the flight are free, but after that it costs you. Worth every penny, in my opinion.

I flew Frontier about 5 years ago.  The interior panels looked like they were painted by a bunch of high school kids with brushes and a bucket.  Seriously, you could see thick brushmarks on them.  There was a LOT of paint missing from the exterior of the aircraft.  It smelled and the a/c didn't work very well.  I know that's all pretty superficial, but it did not give me a good feeling about Frontier.  I don't plan on flying them again.

ETA:  More like 4 years, not 5.  It was spring of '02.

Yeah... we watched MythBusters and the History Channel episodes about the Knights Templar.  :)

We use to fly them all the time, from NOLA to Denver. But after the Hurricane they did not come back!
Liked them Alot Cheep fairs and the 5$ TV.

The last time I flew Frontier their airplanes (aeroplanes?) still had propellers.
