She should sell it at a firesale price and buy something nice.

Im sure she can walk it off. Just rub some dirt on it.
Link Posted: 8/19/2017 8:41:17 PM EST
The insurance company will pay her and sue the dealer, I'd think.

Holy crap, defiantly not sending my P320 back to SIG for recall work

My Dad had a 96 dodge truck burn to the ground. A few days later he got the recall notice about an issue causing Dodge trucks to catch on fire.

A little overdone for my tastes

If you SIG catches fire --- stop, drop, and roll can kill you.
Link Posted: 8/19/2017 9:12:43 PM EST
That would have a temp tag on it and be rolling around a town near me within a week.
Link Posted: 8/19/2017 9:14:59 PM EST
Could have been worse. She could have sent it back to OC for re-coating.
Link Posted: 8/19/2017 9:19:04 PM EST
Any pics of her?
Link Posted: 8/19/2017 9:22:14 PM EST
She should take it back to the dealership and ask if the recall fix was supposed to do that.

I'm sure it was unrelated.

"Mam, your dash and interior are normal wear and tear items, they aren't covered under the warranty".

Fricking Chrysler vehicles. I had a Jeep Liberty and one day backing up in the target parking lot the part that holds the axel to the front wheels, both snapped and my car ended up resting on the ground and ended up leaving a huge gash in the pavement. Jeep “forgot” to notify owners from a couple states about the recall. Thank goodness it happened then because I was heading for the highway and would be going over a very tall bridge.

Will never own a Chrysler vehicle again.

Some days I wish my truck would spontaneously combust like that. I'd be thrilled to get out of monthly payments

Well whatever the problem was it wont be an issue again.

I am of the firm belief that a total torch out like that has a 87% of being a FCA product.

Happens fairly regularly in metro Detroit.

Was it really a Tiguan? My wife drives one and we were notified of a recall.

Scares me a bit because she usually drive around with our two kids and she wouldn't have the reactions to pull over and pull both kids out if something went wrong. She is a panicked type person instead of a reaction type person
