Holy Shit!!!

WE had a guy in AIT(army school) that had 13s. Couldn't find sneakers in basic his size, they had to take him too town. Same thing in AIT. He had tore the sneakers up and needed new ones.

He had to wait a while for boots in basic too. they had to search the warehouse.

Shit I bet that will be tough I just checked the Altama footwear site and they only go up to 13 wide.

Well your Supply Sgt. should be able to do it. However unless he can work miracles, or is unwilling to work too far outside the box, it may take some time.

That said I have now a screwy size foot (long narrow and high arch) and when younger even higher and skinnier.

I used to buy a normal size shoe at the MCRD or 32nd St. Uniform stores and take them over to Recruit issue at MCRD San Diego and swap one for one for the right size.

Ergo, I will suggest a few phone calls to the likes of MCRD, or similar Army recruit training faciliies may just locate a pair that you can work a trade for. they may be a little old but that's the breaks.

There is a defense clothing supply center in Philadelphia that might be a place to call.

Have any of you tried ordering through the Exchange on-line service? Even if the ROTC cadets can't order, your cadre can.Which reminds me one of my curent co-workers is in the CA Nat'l Guard and he mentioned he has size 16 feet. I'll ask him.

through the miracles of modern electronics I can tell you that at least the Corcoran Marauder Hot weather Boot is listed in the exchange on-line catalog in sizes up to and including 16. Several of the others only go to 15 but that model goes to 16.

I found a site that has several different black boots.... all military issue boots (brand new) for sale. There were several models in size 16. The site is:

www.us-elitegear.com

When you get to their website click on: online store.

Then click on boots. Search away.

On the plus side...

if he ever does any arctic training, he won't need to find snowshoes!

Hey, I wear 16s too. Lay off.

I'll find a NSN tomorrow, if you're still looking. I'm in supply, and have my hook ups.

Thanks alot guys. Having big feet really sucks. Can never find shoes. Sgt. told me if I had hunting boots that they would be suffcient for now, but that I need to get a pair of combat boots ASAP. Again thanks for everything.

You can say that again. Trying to find Size 13 6E's at any ordinary shoe store is like trying to find a pro-conservative message in a Michael Moore film.

Sorry, I'd help but I don't know shit about combat boots.

And I thought I had trouble trying to find shoes.

I still regard shopping for shoes as personal hell.
