I'm assuming that my NY CCW marked "Personal Protection Good Until Revoked" is no longer valid even though it was never revoked, ince I  am now a CT resident with a CT CCW.

Am I right or wrong?

Depends entirely on the law and issuing authority in NY as to whether it remains valid when you are no longer a resident of the state of NY.

Check with the issuing authority.

Probably not valid. I'm betting that the language allowing the issuing authority to issue it is specific to state residents, so once you are no longer a state resident, it's void.
I went through this with my MA LTC when I moved.

Under the Penal Law you are required to notify your licensing officer within ten days of moving to a new residence.  NYS does not issue permits to non-residents so your license will be revoked.

You are okay to carry as a resident, but not as a non-resident!!!
Hooray for stupid laws!!!
