You can use a magnifying glass to project the image onto your palm and see what an eclipse smells like.

This is true.
There are a bunch of ants that I know from about 20 years ago that can back me up on this.

I plan to just use some of my aresol can sunscreen, picked a can up on Saturday didn't know they made it in SPF75.

You spray it directly into your eyes and from what I read you're set for 3 minutes staring directly at the sun. After that it wears off so you'll have to reapply.

Edit: I kid. Don't actually do this.

I actually had two separate orders for eclipse glasses. Had to re-order due to more guests showing up.

Both orders were cancelled at the last minute and did not have time to order again. None are available anywhere near the "totality path".

Luckily, cousin from Florida hooked us up with the real deal glasses.

Actually if you mix chlorine bleach and ammonia together a breath it in deeply it makes your eyes impervious to sunlight for the rest of your very short life.

I casually mentioned to some idiots that if they would use a magnifying to view the eclipse it be visible in more detail and easier to see.

I heard that you could use a cardboard box with a hole in it to view the eclipse.  I am ready.

Is this the Monday the stock market crashes?  Will be viewing.

Edit: I don't need no stinking glasses, but I have some.

I started a month ago toughening up my eyes by staring at the sun daily so I'd be able to watch the sun without glasses. I'm good.

I took a piece of glass and put 8 layers of 20% auto tint on it. Then put on sun glasses and checked it out that way. Worked well. If tint works how I think it does only one thousandth of a percent of light made it to my eyes.

I wore sunglasses and held up a CD.  Worked great here in AZ.
