Here is what was on the entrance road to the facility this morning. Looks like it was hit by a truck.

Did you fire a few rounds into it to be sure? You don't want a Goddamn zombie deer on your ass

Went Friday, didn't see anything walking or sitting,  left about 2,  grabbed the fly rod and limited out in about an hour..    Did the same on Sat.

Can you cut the antlers out (legally), & use them for rattling?

That's a nice one and looks similar to the one I missed Saturday.

I've seen lots of hit deer on the roads this year and almost hit a couple myself so far.

That looks way too big to be a Florida buck.  All the other pictures I've seen lead me to believe you guys really just hunt tall dogs.

That is a good looking deer, i hope it didnt go to waste. I know guys back home that if they find fresh roadkill deer they will stop and take em home.

Not in IA, don't know about Florida.

i've gotten a couple that way-someone a mile ahead of me hit a deer and I came up behind, asking if they're OK. Sheriff gets there to take a report and driver didn't want deer, I did. Sheriff wrote a salvage tag and deer went to my freezer. I won't take roadkill when I don't know how long it's been there though-I did find one last year that probably would have been OK, it was still warm and bleeding in December.

While I have gotten a few things like that, this one was cold, and I don't know how long it was there. The plant guys went out and picked it up, I don't know what was done with it.

The right side times were broken off, would have been a nice 8 point.

I always think of the guys that don't see anything all season when a nice 12 point buck is standing ten feet away at work.

If MN doesn't have boars they will. The last couple years there have been more and more in IA. DNR basically says "kill, but don't hunt" them. Idea being if you stumble onto one by all means kill it, but one hunter actually looking for them might kill one or two, then the herd moves on to the next county. No real laws about them yet, but report and/or kill is encouraged. If I see one it's bacon and sausage time.
