I've been eating the heck out of it, and man, what a difference from eating it in water out of the can.

Plus, a good source of poly and monounsaturated fats.

Probably worth looking into for those of us who aren't eating carbs right now.

Bout 3 bucks a can?

Is it albacore tuna??? I only ask because it's supposed to be higher in mercury levels.

I don't understand why tuna in a pouch is twice as expensive as the same tuna in a can...

It's about $1.2x per can.  Ten times more palatable than water packed tuna.

It's solid white tuna.

I always thought the same thing about the pouch, but I'm guessing it cheaper to make a tin can and glue a printed piece of paper on it than it is to make a "pouch" specifically for tuna.

Convience. How much is a can of tuna worth when you don't have/don't want to bring a can opener?

I think that's fucked up.

Why should I pay a manufacturer 'extra'?? They seem to have 2 competeing products- the pouches and cans. Don't the pouches take up less storage spage for teh mfgr- saving them money- don't the pouches weigh less than cans- again saving them money???

I feel the public is getting the short end of the stick....

We eat tuna several times a month in our family.  It is best to eat it in moderation.  Google "tuna and mercury" and read up.

I was eating a can a day... now I'm down to one every other day.

Mercury comes from coal burning power plants.

What good is cheap electricity, if it contaminates the food supply???

Be careful with those studies.  They macerate the entire fish, not just the edible muscle, and 95% of the mercury is found in the viscera.  Still, tuna are at the top of the food chain, and mercury is an accumulative toxin, and it does funny things to brains.  So.....

Probably best to not eat it every day.
