Checked in luggage == packed away luggage? It has to be checked in luggage, not carry on.

Maybe i'll bring one of my cheaper EDC blades. So if some dirtbag $7/hr guy swipes it I wont be to heart broken. Has anyone here had a knife stolen while flying?

Nope. I took 7 knives to HI. Came back with 9.

I took some expensive knives to Costa Rica, packed in checked suitcase. They all arrived fine.

I am not saying it will get stolen for sure, but you are definitely taking your chances when you leave ANYTHING of value in your checked luggage these days. |

I always check a handgun when I fly and just put my CRKT in the locked case with my pistol.
