I did after avoiding it for 5 years due to yucky side affects. I got it a couple weeks ago and I felt like shit the entire day/night of getting it. But I guess, this year, it's better to be safe than sorry.

The county rolls around in this huge bus giving shots at cost of 12.00 each, I get one every year, heck, that is to good a deal to pass up.

Never had one, never been sick with flu, either.

Guy here at work got one a few days back, is sick as a dog at home.

If you're modestly healthy and take fair care of yourself, you don't need it.

I got mine for $5 at work.
I've never met a doctor who didn't recommend them.

Since I am neither a small child, an old infirm person, and don't have a compromised immune system, I don't feel that I (as a healthy adult) should take up a vaccine that an old person or a child might actually NEED. I can live with the inconveniece of the flu - some people cannot survive it. Let them have the vaccine.

Our work was selling them for $5 each so I got one this year for the first time.

My body reacted to the dead vaccine hard and so did my wife after the shot.

But I still went to work, hopefully it will keep me going. Some 36,000 people die from influenza every year.

Yep, this year, too----just like every year for the past 5. Just turned 55----not a kid anymore. It's hell to get old----but a lot better than not getting any older---if you know what I mean!

Yep!I work on a dairy farm so I must.

I didn't get one two years ago and payed the price for it!! I saw nothing but "spin-art" ( and felt it too )for two weeks because of that oversite.

Theres a terrible NEW flu out there.
You MUST go get a flu shot...one that doesnt touch the new strain.

Better hurry, running out of the shot across the nation [;)]

Yep. I got the shot at the local Health Dept about a month ago. It cost me $8.00
It's a good investment in my book[:D]

Nope. I don't feel like accelerating Influenza's mutation time. If I get it, then that will suck, but I'll let my body deal with that. I only recommend it for the elderly, those with compromised immune systems, or people who are in a high risk group (health care workers, teachers, etc.).

Having said that, I'll probably be sick with the flu in a few weeks.

Nope, I refused them even in the military except for boot.

I'll pass on putting a mild dose of multiple influenzas in my body. I'd rather pratice good hygeine and risk it.

I don't see the point in them. I work in a tire shop, and touch all the crap you guys run over in the street. i have not been really sick in years. however, by sick I mean, cannot walk.

Also, it is bad enough that I drink water which the govt puts all sorts of things into, why should I make it worse.

I'm pretty healthy and haven't had a sick day from work in 15 years, but I have been ill during that time span.
Even so I get the flu shot every year, all that I read indicates that it's a smart move.
Have never gotten ill from them, at most a tender arm.

Yes I got one. They always make my arm sore for about a day afterwords. After you get a bad case of the flu you start to understand why they have these shots.
