That was a good idea. well now we know what happens when you get caught CCW'ing at WDW Trespass warning it seems if you have a CCW license That's not horrible considering it is well known you are not to carry at WDW. I really never understood the reason to CCW at WDW. If there is an active shooter and you are trying to help out all you are going to do is get shot by one of the snipers. That place is filled with sniper nest. If have been to WDW lately it will make sense to you why they designed 7D's mine train and Be Our guest mountain they way they did. |

That was a good idea. well now we know what happens when you get caught CCW'ing at WDW If you have a valid license to carry and you declare the gun , they offer you a locker to use until you leave the park. Same goes for a knife, license to carry or not. Trying to sneak it past security is what gets you a trespass warning so you're now persona non grata at all Disney properties; but no criminal charges. No license; you'll be charged for unlawful possession of a firearm, |

Seems like if he did it would have been more of a "Whoops let me put this back in my car" moment. It says he had no license right in the article headline. The conclusion of the article: "Langston was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a concealed firearm and issued a trespass warning from all Disney World property. " He was arrested for unlawful possession. If he had a license to carry and declared his gun at the gate he would have been offered an escort to the security office where they would provide him with a locker to put his gun in until he left the park. |

WDW was putting everyone through a metal detector last time I was there, and all the bags were being searched quite extensively. Armed sheriff deputies galore right behind the metal detectors....
IMHO they were doing a far better job than the TSA "burger king won't hire me" booger eaters. |

I dont' get the obsession people have with CCW at WDW or a major theme park if you are that concerned don't go. Its a private property.
You could CCW in disney parks in past, because they would only do bag checks, although it was a stupid idea because if you got caught you just ruined the family vacation. There is a pretty significant amount of plain clothes at the park. However after Orlando Pulse Shooting, WDW instituted random Metal Detector checks. |

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Disney has a team of high speed dudes on site. I was staying at Wilderness Lodge a couple of years ago and saw a group of guys running drills in the lagoon early one morning in zodiacs (or something like that). Sure looked like a spec-ops-type shit.
