So we had new carpet installed a little over a year ago and I noticed, what I thought, was a little excessive wearing. I called the flooring company which we bought it from and they sent a rep out. He informed me that the carpet on the steps will wear like I was seeing and it was totally normal. Its just me an the wife here and we are hardly here, it just seemed a little much. Id take a pic but its hard to see when I tried
Anyways, he did notice two other things. First the carpet was installed "backwards" on the steps. I didnt know that was even possible but i guess so. Second, the carpet installer did this:
The installer removed the trim that the previous carpet was attached too. He told me that was 70's and no one does it anymore. He told me someone would have to puddy the gap and texture. I havent gotten around to that as I didnt quite know how to do it.
The rep was going to call the installer and get back to me.
