Saw it in the theater when I was a kid. Massively corny and cheesey yet the acting was not too bad.

Its one movie thats painful to watch yet I still love it. I think its one of the dumbest movies ever yet at the same time I kind of liked it.

The over the top comic book look of the movie is what they were shooting for.

I like the movie and it has been out on DVD for about a year.

I remember seeing it with my best friend.  He was 8, I was 9, our moms dropped us off in that theater and watched a movie on the next screen over.  Today they would be arrested for that

Some drunk redneck was sitting behind us making out with his girlfriend the whole time, and talking to the screen.  Fun stuff.

+1

Flash Gordon is one of my favorite cheeseball scifi movies.  Right up there with Barbarella....though at least Flash Gordon isn't tainted by the presence of Hanoi Jane.

QUEEN!!!!  FTMFW!!!

One thing that I will always remember is going to see Queen in concert.  Freddy Mercury put on a show that was so full of energy it was hard to believe.

The acting was terrible. The plot was paper thin. Etc, etc.

Who cares. It was a rockin' movie. I saw it when I was 8. My dad had the soundtrack, and Freddie Mercury was awesome. Whatever your politics, he was an amazing frontman, and the Queen sound for the movie was excellent.

Yeah, it's loaded on the iPod. It's always cool to hit shuffle, and hear the "Dun, Dun Dun, Dun, DUN, DUN, DUN, DUN!" as the song begins.

You can probably find it for $5 in the Walmart cheapo bin. Pick it up. Do it now!

For some reason, that's one of my girlfriend's favorite movies.

It is quite entertaining if you have good company and a bunch of Jack Daniels in your system!

(FLASH!  UH UH!)

Just saying!!

I watched it with my kids recently... I never realized how sexually suggestive it was.

Did anyone catch the phalic symbol crash of the ship towards the end? The one the looks like a giant cock that "penetrates" MIng and kills him?

Ming's daughter strapped down to the table was kinda suggestive too.

Saw it in the theater when I was a kid. Love the soundtrack, LOVED Ming's daugher and the Hawkmen were badass! Saw it again a few months ago and couldn't beleive how corny it was. The soundtrack was still awesome, Ming's daugher got even hotter and my kids thought it was goofy. THIS coming from my daughters who watch Sponge Bob...He is kinda cool though
